How to Get your Dining Room Thanksgiving Ready | Part 1 – Dining Tables You’ll Love

Even though it’s only the beginning of October, it’s already time to start preparing for the coming holidays. If you are hosting Thanksgiving this year, not only do you have the menu to consider, but how to accommodate a house full of guests. Of course, as we start to ponder what it is that we are most thankful for this year, we are also pondering the perfect dining room scene.

Whether your style is modern or cottage, eclectic or formal, the first consideration is the most obvious one: finding the perfect table.

If you don’t already have that dream table in place, now is the time to take measurements to determine the right fit for your dining room or breakfast nook. (Don’t discount the pros of the kids’ table at your Turkey Day gathering. Cousins love catching up while grown ups can luxuriate over an “adult” meal.) Interior designer Shohana Gosselin has some simple tips for finding the best size table for your room and crowd.

At James Craig Furnishings we have a vast selection of styles and makers of quality dining tables to choose from. Come visit us at our Washington Avenue showroom where we can help you put the perfect finishing touches on one of the many custom tables available through Dinec, SaloomLyndon or Vanguard.  Of course, we also have access to hundreds of designs from established manufacturers such as Stanley, Brownstone, Riverside, and Lee for you to select from as well.

Below is a gallery of just a few of our favorites and you can also see a round up of five top picks we highlighted last year.
